This purpose of this course is to fulfill the requirement for the Delaware Real Estate Commission’s mandatory 6 credit Broker Core Course. Topics to be discussed:
Contracts & Escrow, Fair Housing, Advertising, Antitrust, Agency, Misrepresentation, Fraud & Disclosure, Code of Ethics & Procuring Cause, Independent Contractors, Employees, & Personal Assistants, Environmental, RESPA & CBAs, Unauthorized Practice of Law, Americans With Disabilities Act, Megan’s Law, Referral Fees, License Renewal, The Delaware Real Estate Commission Duties & Powers, and Contemporary Issues.
New Agency Law
This purpose of this course is to familiarize Delaware Agents with the new Agency Law by discussing the history of agency, types of agency, the reasons for the changes in the law, the benefits of the changes in the law.
Professionalism in Real Estate Practice
This purpose of this course is to reinforce the National Association of Realtor’s Code of Ethics. Topics include:
History of the Code of Ethics, Discussion of the Preamble, Enforcement of the Code, Procuring Cause, Code of Ethics Articles with Recent updates and Case Histories to be discussed.
Sales Core Course for DE
This purpose of this course is to fulfill the requirement for the Delaware Real Estate Commission’s mandatory 3 credit Sales Core Course. Topics to be discussed:
The Creation of Agency Relationships in Real Estate including Types of Agency, Duties to all Consumers, Agency Disclosures and Ethical Considerations.
The Ethics of a Transaction including the Definition in the NAR Code of Ethics, Ethics in Conflict and Applied Ethics Case Studies.
Fair Housing including Citations from the Fair Housing Act and ADA, What is and is not Allowed in Advertising, Steering/Block Busting, The Trouble Spots and the Complaint Process.
Surviving and Adapting to the Changing Market
This course is an interactive workshop. The objective of the course is to identify the challenges that sales associates face in today’s market and explore ways to approach and overcome those challenges. We will also explore ways that agents look at past and present clients and how they add value to the agent’s business and how value can be added to our relationship with them.
Treating the Business like a Business
This course will teach you how to approach your business in more precise and calculated way. The module of the course will discuss attitude and mindset towards the business, developing a business plan and working the business plan on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis; also, within the business plan we will discuss specific activities that are critical to the success of achieving the goals of the business plan.
